Nigerian singer-songwriter Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, is set to make history at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music Event.
The "Essence" crooner has been named the recipient of the Breakthrough Award Honor, making her the first-ever Nigerian to receive this recognition.

Billboard recently announced the honorees for the 2024 Women In Music Awards, and alongside Tems, other recipients include Kylie Minogue (Icon Award Honoree), Ice Spice (Hitmaker Award Honoree), Victoria Monét (Rising Star Award Honoree), and Young Miko (Impact Award Honoree).
The 2024 Billboard Women In Music Event is scheduled to take place at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, on March 6, 2024. Tems' recognition underscores the global impact of Nigerian artists on the international music scene.
