1). Sister Death 

Sister Death (Spanish: Hermana Muerte) is a 2023 Spanish supernatural horror film directed by Paco Plaza and written by Jorge Guerricaechevarría and Plaza which stars Aria Bedmar. A prequel to the 2017 film Verónica, the plot follows the paranormal experiences of a novice (Bedmar) enrolled as a teacher in a convent operating as a girls school in 1940s Spain.


The film world premiered as the opener of the 56th Sitges Film Festival on 5 October 2023 and was subsequently released on Netflix on 27 October 2023.


 
 2). Forgotten Love

Forgotten Love, also known as Znachor in Polish, is a Polish drama film directed by Michał Gazda. It is based on the novel Znachor written by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz and features Leszek Lichota in the lead role. This adaptation marks the third film version of Dołęga-Mostowicz's novel, with previous adaptations released in 1937 and 1981.

Produced by Netflix, the film had its premiere on September 27, 2023, exclusively on the streaming platform. Prior to its official release, pre-premiere screenings were held in various cities in Poland, including Toruń, Krasnystaw, Wałbrzych, Kalisz, Lidzbark Warmiński, and Stargard, from September 20 to 25, 2023.



 

3). Society of the Snow

"Society of the Snow" (La sociedad de la nieve) is a thrilling survival film set to be released in 2023. Directed by J. A. Bayona, the movie tells the story of the Uruguayan 1972 Andes flight disaster. It is based on the book of the same name by Pablo Vierci, which chronicles the experiences of the 16 survivors of the crash, many of whom Vierci knew personally. The cast features talented actors from Uruguay and Argentina, many of whom are making their debut.

The film had the honor of closing the 80th Venice International Film Festival, although it was not part of the competition. It is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2023, and will later be available for streaming on Netflix starting January 4, 2024. Additionally, "Society of the Snow" has been chosen as the Spanish entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 96th Academy Awards.



 

4). Hit Man

The film "Hit Man" features Adria Arjona alongside other notable actors. The story revolves around an undercover Houston police officer who assumes the identity of a trustworthy assassin in order to rescue a woman in distress. 

The movie is available for streaming on Netflix and was written by Richard Linklater and Glen Powell. It was produced by Richard Linklater, Mike Blizzard, and others associated with Texas Monthly and Aggregate Films.



 

5). The Killer

The Killer, a film released in 2023, has garnered attention and discussion among audiences. Directed by David Fincher, the movie has been praised for its captivating storyline. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed the music for the film, adding to its overall appeal. 

The screenplay, written by Andrew Kevin Walker, has been well-received for its gripping narrative. Kirk Baxter has skillfully edited the film, enhancing its impact. 

The Killer has also been adapted into a comic series, and features notable actors such as Sophie Charlotte, Charles Parnell, and Sala Baker. With a box office revenue of $362,113, The Killer has proven to be a successful and engaging cinematic experience.




 

6). Maestro

Maestro, a biographical drama film set to release in 2023, delves into the intricate relationship between renowned American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia. The film is produced by Sikelia Productions and A..., with the screenplay written by Bradley Cooper and Josh Singer. Adding to the authenticity of the film, the music is composed by none other than Leonard Bernstein himself. Maestro is scheduled to premiere on September 2, 2023, at the Venice Film Festival, followed by a wider release. The film also features notable characters such as Felicia Montealegre Bernstein and David Oppenheim, a talented musician.
