Singer Tyla speaks on dating Rema

In the latest sizzling episode of the "We Need To Talk" podcast, South African sensation Tyla, also known as Tyla Laura Seethal, spills the tea on the dating rumors swirling around her and Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Rema.

Setting the record straight on the November 6, 2023 episode, the "Water" crooner quashed the rumors, firmly stating that Rema is just a "friend." She shed light on the viral photograph of them holding hands, which sparked the dating buzz, revealing that it was taken after she attended one of Rema's electrifying concerts.

“We [Rema and I] are just friends. I went to his show and he happened to hold my hand. And obviously, people will always interpret it the way they do.

“He is not my boyfriend. He’s not my man.”

For those keeping tabs, Tyla had previously mentioned Rema in an Apple Music interview as the celebrity she would love to take to a prom date, adding a pinch of intrigue to the mix.
