Seyi Law, Others Decried N5 Billion Presidential Yacht Proposal as Insensitive to the Plight of Nigerians

Nigerian actor and comedian, professionally known as Seyi Law, whose real name is Oluwaseyitan Aletile, has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for the proposed purchase of a N5 billion presidential yacht.

As revealed in the 2023 supplementary budget submitted by the President for approval by the National Assembly, one of the proposed expenses is a budget of N5.095 billion allocated for a presidential yacht.

Expressing his displeasure on his X platform, Seyi Law labeled the proposal as "insensitive to the plight of Nigerians." He called upon the president to reconsider this decision.

The comedian wrote: “I am absolutely not in support of the procurement of the presidential yacht. It is quite insensitive to the plight of Nigerians at this moment to even rationalise it. I call on the president, @officialABAT, to once again prove to Nigerians that he listens. Thank you, your Excellency.”
