In the latest episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast, popular rapper Mohammed Usman Adamu, known as Magnito, made a claim that stirred conversation.

Magnito asserted that many of the "most successful female artists" in Nigeria are managed by their boyfriends. According to him, this trend is prevalent in the Nigerian music industry, and fans may not be aware because these female artists tend to keep their relationships private.

This statement by Magnito sparked discussions about the dynamics of artist management in the music industry and the extent to which personal relationships play a role in an artist's career.

It also brings attention to the private lives of celebrities and how they choose to navigate and balance personal and professional aspects of their careers.

Magnito said, “Most of the successful female artists you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”

His claim elicited mixed reactions on social media, with many concurring with him while others berated him for “generalising”.
