Nigerian singer Okafor Uchenna Victor, popularly known as Mr Real, has called out rapper Idowest, accusing him of alleged song theft. Mr Real claims that Idowest stole his hit song, 'Shekpeteri,' from a disc jockey, alleging that the song was already recorded by a group of boys before Idowest took it and featured Slimcase in his version.
In a video message circulating on social media, Mr Real expressed his frustration, stating, "We are supposed to have houses in Island judging by the virality of our songs; 'Legbegbe' was everywhere, 'Shekpeteri' was everywhere. But you [Idowest] didn’t allow us to make money because of your greed. You are a greedy modaf**ker. Unfortunate fellow. Depression will kill you until you come and apologize to me and Slimcase."
Mr Real further claimed that the popular 'Shekpeteri' song was originally owned by a DJ, and Idowest allegedly stole the song and did a version with Slimcase. He concluded by accusing Idowest of a history of song theft throughout his career.
