Mr Ibu’s wife accuses the actor's adopted daughter of hijacking donated funds

Stella Maris, the wife of the ailing actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has made serious allegations against the actor's adopted daughter, Jasmine.

Maris accuses Jasmine of taking control of the funds that were donated for Mr. Ibu's surgery. The actor had previously sought public assistance in October, revealing his ongoing health struggles.

Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, Mr. Ibu had to have one of his legs amputated recently. In a recent Instagram post, Stella Maris claimed that Jasmine has been covertly managing the bank account designated for the donations. 

Additionally, Maris addressed Jasmine's assertion that she received N1 million to spend on herself, suggesting potential mismanagement of the funds raised for Mr. Ibu's medical expenses. These accusations add a layer of complexity to the already challenging situation surrounding the actor's health.

“The N1 million donation that I received was paid into my account in the presence of my husband to offset some bills at the home front. I don’t understand why Jasmine, a complete stranger, should be dragging me over my family matters.

“I don’t have access to the main Access Bank account where people make donations. It is secretly being controlled by Jasmine yet she is cooking up all kinds of lies against me in order to keep absolute control of that account. How she manipulated her way and took control of the account is a story for another day,” she said.
