Popular Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and show promoter Sam Larry have been released from detention by the Lagos State Police Command.
The release came after they fulfilled their bail conditions. The spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed their release.
The Magistrate's Court in Yaba had granted Naira Marley and Sam Larry bail on November 6 in the sum of N20 million with three sureties.
The two were initially arraigned and remanded on October 6 in connection with the circumstances surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
The court ordered them to submit their passports and report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti. Confirming their release, Hundeyin stated, "Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released."
