Falz recounts the harrowing experience of how he and his band members narrowly escaped death

Nigerian rapper and singer, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz The Bahdguy, has recounted a harrowing near-death experience with members of his Bhad Guys band ten years ago.

He shared that the incident occurred in 2013 between Abuja and Lokoja after they had completed their first N1 million gig in Abuja and were en route to another gig in Benin.

According to Falz, their vehicle was attacked by about five gunmen, resulting in the instant death of the driver. The vehicle was left without a driver, careening until it eventually crashed into a forest. Upon regaining consciousness, they encountered a hoodlum who demanded money from them.

Falz recounted telling the hoodlum that they had no money. After various threats, the gunmen and the hoodlum fled upon hearing police sirens. Falz and his band members were eventually rescued by the police after private cars on the road had initially refused to assist them.

Speaking on the Untapped Podcast, Falz shared that he and his band members still bear physical scars from the injuries sustained during the traumatic incident.
