Obafemi Awolowo University student Subair Enitan, who undertook an extensive handwashing marathon in a bid to establish a new Guinness World Record, is now hospitalized following the conclusion of her ambitious endeavor in the early hours of Monday.
Enitan, who initially aimed for a 50-hour marathon, ultimately completed an impressive 58 hours, exceeding her original goal. The official X handle for the marathon shared a post detailing the conclusion of her marathon.
Social media is currently abuzz with a video depicting Enitan's hands, which have visibly turned white and wrinkled due to the prolonged handwashing. In the footage, she is seen reclining on a bed situated in what appears to be a medical ward.
Despite her remarkable feat, the Guinness World Record has not yet officially recognized Enitan as the new record holder. The outcome of her attempt awaits confirmation from the renowned record-keeping organization.
