Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has addressed the rumors circulating about his alleged involvement as one of the co-writers of Canadian rapper Drake's new song, 'Wick Man.'
The song is part of Drake's recent project, 'Scary Hours 3.' A credit under the name "K. De Bruyne" appeared on the song, prompting speculation about the footballer's role in its creation.
Reacting via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, the Belgium captain joked by sharing a photo of himself and Drake, and a screenshot of the song credit with the caption; ” @Drake needed an assist.”
In a subsequent post, De Bruyne clarified that he was not the individual credited on the song. He added that despite the mix-up, he is a "huge fan" of Drake. The footballer wrote, "All jokes aside, it's not me! Huge fan though!"
