iShowSpeed's reaction to Lionel Messi winning his record-extending eighth Ballon d'Or was nothing short of predictable.

The social media sensation had been invited to the prestigious awards ceremony in Paris, where he documented the entire event. He engaged in conversations with various personalities before the proceedings kicked off, including Erling Haaland.

During his time at the event, he even had a brief chat with Argentina's goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, daring to ask the age-old question of who was the better player, Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi, his fellow international team-mate.

iShowSpeed also had the chance to meet tennis legend Novak Djokovic, who playfully tried to convince Speed that he was an AC Milan player.

As the awards ceremony unfolded, iShowSpeed was seated in the main hall, and he turned his camera on just as Manchester United legend David Beckham was about to announce the winner.

His reaction to Messi's victory was a sight to behold. Before the announcement, the passionate Ronaldo fan was repeatedly mouthing 'Ronaldo' while covering his ears with his hands. However, his face displayed genuine shock when Messi's name was announced, leading to an emotional outburst from Speed, who exclaimed, "What??"

Turning his camera towards Messi after addressing the screen, he commented, "Messi, man. Ain't no way, man. Not Ronaldo?"

See his reaction below:

It was an eventful evening for Messi, who delivered an extensive speech upon receiving the award from Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham. Messi secured the top spot ahead of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, with Kevin De Bruyne finishing in fourth place.

Additionally, Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati claimed the women's Ballon d'Or, surpassing competition from Sam Kerr, Salma Paralluelo, Fridolina Rolfo, and Mary Earps.

While Haaland missed out on the main men's award, he did earn the Gerd Muller Trophy for the top goalscorer in Europe. Jude Bellingham was honored with the Kopa Trophy for the best men's young player, and Aston Villa goalkeeper Martinez received the Yashin Trophy for the best men's goalkeeper.
