In her relentless pursuit of justice for the late singer Mohbad, the renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has provided an update on his case through her influential platform on social media.
Taking to her verified Instagram page on October 17, 2023, Iyabo Ojo disclosed that Mohbad's case has now reached the federal level and is in the process of being transferred to the Directorate of Public Prosecution, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice.
She further revealed that Mohbad's remains have not yet been released, as the police are awaiting the results of the Toxicology test (Autopsy).
Iyabo Ojo also emphasized that Mohbad's wife, Omowunmi, who had been the subject of suspicion by many, has undergone three rounds of police interrogations and has not been found guilty as a suspect.
Additionally, she mentioned that DJ Splash, a former signee of Naira Marley, has been released from police custody.
Iyabo Ojo in a lenghty post wrote:
“Update on Mohbad’s case:
The case has been transferred to the DPP……Directorate of Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice, while the police say they are still waiting on the toxicology results ….
Mohbad’s remains have not yet been released,

Also, Mohbad’s wife has been interrogated 3 times to the best of my knowledge, 2 out of the 3times was the day you all saw Mohbad’s dad televised by the police in which they addressed the public on Mohbad’s case, later that same day Mohbad’s dad, mum and wife was sent to Panti for interrogation and to write their statement, another day Mohbad’s wife was interrogated was the 21st of September 2023….. reason why Tonto and Sentor Ishaku Abbo met her absences….
Please note that the cctv camera in Mohbad’s house was never fixed or connected, it has no BVR nor Hard disk
