Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has shared insights into his journey as a music record label owner, garnering significant attention online.
The CEO of DMW record label disclosed in a recent interview that he has never received any monetary compensation from any of his signed artists.
Davido's unwavering commitment to nurturing talents under his DMW label has always been apparent. After leaving HKN Music, he established his own record label in 2016, signing artists such as Mayorkun, Idowest, Yonda, Ayanfe, Perruzi, and others.
The artist emphasized that during the initial four years of his record label's launch, he managed his artists without taking any financial remuneration from them.
In his words, “My label is like a family thing, I ran a label for Four years and I did not take a dime from my artists until recent time……..”
