In a recent revelation, Jada Pinkett, the wife of Hollywood actor Will Smith, shared an interesting detail about comedian Chris Rock. Amidst rumors of her separation from Will Smith since 2016, Jada disclosed that Chris Rock had asked her out one summer.
In an interview with NBC News, Jada Pinkett confirmed the separation from her husband while expressing that, in the public eye, they continued to project the image of a happily married couple. She explained that Chris Rock reached out to her during this period, inquiring about her relationship status.
According to Jada, Chris Rock asked her out, believing that she and Will were getting a divorce. However, Jada clarified that these were merely rumors. Chris Rock was surprised and profusely apologized for his assumption.
The 2022 Oscars incident involving Will Smith and Chris Rock was also referenced. During the ceremony, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, leading to an altercation where Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage. Will Smith subsequently apologized but received a 10-year ban from Oscars gala and other Academy events.
