Actress Tonto Dikeh defects to APC

It has been reported that Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has made the decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking her departure from the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to The Nation, Tonto Dikeh is scheduled to receive an official introduction into the APC by the National Women Leader, Dr. Mary Alile, later today at the national secretariat in Abuja.

It's worth noting that Tonto Dikeh had previously been the deputy governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State for the 2023 election. However, she and her running mate, Tonte Ibraye, were unsuccessful in the election, losing to Siminialayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is the ruling party in the state.
