In a recent statement that surfaced online, the renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter Tems revealed that she had misplaced her Grammy Award plaque.
Tems, whose real name is Temilade Openiyi and known for her hit song "Damages," shared this revelation during an interview.
It's worth noting that on February 6th, 2023, Tems achieved a significant milestone by winning her first Grammy Award for her contribution to Future's hit single 'Wait For U,' where her vocals were featured alongside Canadian superstar rapper Drake. This historic achievement made her the first Nigerian female artist to receive a Grammy Award.
While many artists proudly display their Grammy Awards, showcasing them on stage, at events, and in various public appearances, Tems has taken a different approach.
According to Tems, she can't recall the exact location where she placed her Grammy Award plaque; it might be on a shelf or somewhere else. She candidly admitted that she doesn't know its current whereabouts and emphasized that she has shifted her focus to the next stage of her musical career.
