Renowned Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, who is better known as Portable, has delivered a strong warning to the Nigerian police in response to the arrest of Sam Larry.
On September 28, 2023, Sam Larry was apprehended by the Lagos police shortly after his return to Nigeria in connection with Mohbad's death.
The news of Sam Larry's arrest was posted on the X app by the Nigerian police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin. SP Hundeyin confirmed on Thursday, September 28, that the music promoter was taken into custody and is currently assisting in the investigation into Mohbad's passing.
He wrote, “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with ongoing investigation.”
Reacting to the arrest, Portable fumes as he demands justice for Mohbad while reacting to Nigerian Police statement that Sam Larry is assisting them.
He says; “Welcome back to Nigeria Sam Larry, Nigeria police we don’t need assistance we need investigation.”
Portable, who is scheduled to perform in Germany on September 30th, mentioned that he is currently en route to France and made a brief stopover in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
