Farida Sobowale is trending on Twitter, and the reason is clear, she was the woman who attempted to jump off Third Mainland Bridge. Nollywood Times earlier made the report that the woman attempted to commit suicide; however, she has opened up as to why she made the attempt. 

Farida revealed that her N100 million marriage with another Lagos socialite, Demola Okulaja, crashed after two months, that had prompted her suicide mission.

Farida Abdulkabir, a well-known Lagos socialite, also recognized as Farida Sobowale, has opened up about the motives behind her recent suicide attempt on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State. In a viral voice note shared on social media, Farida Sobowale, who is also the proprietor of House of Phreedah situated on Akerele Street, Surulere, Lagos, disclosed that her actions were driven by a combination of frustrations, a failed marriage, and other factors.

In the voice note, she revealed that her marriage, which reportedly cost N100 million, had fallen apart after a mere two months. The failed marriage, coupled with the challenges she faced, led to her distressing decision to end her life. The voice note circulated widely, shedding light on the emotional turmoil that prompted her recent alarming actions.

Farida Sobowale had been captured in a viral video where she was being consoled and dissuaded from jumping into the lagoon, as rescuers tried to assure her that there were alternative ways to address her challenges. She was eventually escorted into her vehicle and taken to an undisclosed location for further assistance.

Her distressing situation underscores the importance of addressing mental health concerns and providing support to individuals facing difficulties.
