In anticipation of the verdict from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, the veteran singer and activist, Charles Oputa, widely known as Charly Boy, has issued a stern caution that followers of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would not tolerate a rerun of the election.
Charly Boy emphasized that previous court judgments have favoured other political figures without necessitating a redo of the election. He maintained that Peter Obi's situation should not be treated any differently.
“We Refuse, Reject And Condemn A Rerun.
“If they, the judiciary, did it for Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and they also did even greater wonders for Hope Uzodinmma of Imo state;
Surely, they can do even greater for Peter Obi.
What is good for the goose is good …#NoToRerun,” he wrote on Twitter.
