Award-winning Nigerian singer and half of P-Square duo, Peter Okoye, aka Mr P has reacted to the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS resolution to use its standby force to restore constitutional order in the Republic of Niger. Mr P described the decision as “total madness.”
Nollywood Times reported that following the extraordinary meeting of the subregional body, the President of ECOWAS, Omar Alieu Touray gave the order while reading out the resolution from the Thursday Abuja meeting.
Mr P took to Twitter to react to the news accusing the West African body of joining the West to fight fellow Africans.
He wrote, “Africa joins the west to fight Africa. Total madness.”
