In a gripping showdown on Thursday night at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Tobi Amusan relinquished her world women's 100m hurdles title to Jamaica's Danielle Williams.
Williams, 30, who had previously clinched victory in Beijing back in 2015, delivered a jaw-dropping performance, clocking in at 12.43 seconds. She managed to edge out the Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico, who finished closely behind with a time of 12.44 seconds. Kendra Harrison of the United States secured the bronze with a timing of 12.46 seconds.
However, both Amusan and the 2019 champion, Nia Ali, found themselves struggling to keep up, with Amusan landing in sixth place and Ali finishing last in the intense competition.
The ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, continue to showcase thrilling battles and heart-stopping moments on the track.
