In a candid conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, popular Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, better known as Aki, opened up about the challenging paths he came close to taking after receiving a diagnosis of stunted growth from a doctor.

Aki recalled a pivotal moment in his life when he was just 9 years old and found himself on the verge of contemplating suicide due to a doctor's revelation to his mother about his stunted growth.

He shared that the overwhelming sense of low self-esteem he experienced, compounded by the teasing and mockery he endured from his peers, led him to consider even jumping off the third mainland bridge.

Furthermore, Aki revealed his close bond with his colleague, Osita Iheme, also known as Pawpaw, and their unwavering determination to succeed as movie partners. Despite the curious looks they received due to their contrasting heights, they persevered to achieve success together in Nollywood.

In the course of the interview, Aki wrote; “I almost commit suicide when a doctor told my mom that I was suffering from stunted growth. I even thought of ending it all, third mainland bridge no far oo.

When I met my partner, Osita, people used to look at us in the usual way because of our heights, but we had the determination to be successful together in Nollywood, and everything worked out for us.”
