Currently, Iyana Ipaja is trending on Twitter, and the real reason for that is as a result of a scary story shared by a tweep which went viral on how spirits could be encountered at the popular Iyana Ipaja market in Lagos State.
The tweet was a response to the vox pop created on 9th July 2023 by Chicken Catcher (@EtuboLion) on the existence of ghosts and evil spirits. The tweet has received 9.6m views, retweeted 1,417 times, quoted 1,897 times, has 4,017 likes and bookmarked 4,245 times.

However, the response tweet by a tweep, Son of James (@orioninc_ng) made the wild claim that made Iyana Ipaja trend. Iyana Ipaja stands as Top Trending In Nigeria on Twitter with total of 2,130 tweets as at press time. See the screenshot below:
