Nigeria’s qualification for the Round of 16 at the ongoing Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand seems to be a foregone conclusion but can go the other way if something dramatic happens.
The Super Falcons, who are the current group leader with four points, will be going into their final Group B clash against the Republic of Ireland.
The Nigerian ladies' first two games saw them record a goalless draw with Australia and a 3-2 win over Canada.
The Randy Waldrum's ladies will advance to the Round of 16 with a win or draw against Ireland. Also, they will qualify if they lose to Ireland and Canada defeat Australia.
