Marco van Basten, rubbished Burna Boy's Champions League performance

On Saturday, Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy headlined the kickoff show alongside Brazilian star, Anitta in Istanbul, on Saturday night. The Nigerian singer made headlines for such the powerful performance. However, while many fans are rating the performance as high and speaking highly of the Love Damini crooner, one person is not pleased at all.

Former Ajax and AC Milan legend, Marco van Basten is one person not impressed by Burna's performance. He went ahead to slam the Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, for the alleged “ridiculous” kickoff show before the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan.

The Dutchman said it was “madness” that the show happened, adding that the final ceremony should have been all “about football. He revealed that when speaking on Z Sports’ Match Of The Day programme.

He said,
“It’s ridiculous that this show is taking place. Why not do it before the warm up?

“It should be about these footballers, about football. It happens at the World Cup too. Ridiculous.”
