‘Devil is a liar’ - Adesua's husband, Banky W, addresses accusations of infidelity

Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, a popular Nigerian singer and clergyman, has appeared to address the cheating allegations made against him. 

The accusations were made by a controversial blog, Gistlover, which suggested that Banky W was being unfaithful to his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, with his former signee, Niyola. 

However, during a sermon at the Waterbrooks church in Lagos on Sunday, Banky W dismissed the rumours as the work of satanic forces who were trying to prevent his congregation from hearing his message.

The politician, actor and preacher, affirmed that God was in control and simultaneously denounced the devil as a liar to his congregation.

He said, “The devil really didn’t want you to hear this message. In fact, he didn’t want us to enter into this series at all. There was an attack at the beginning, but here we are. But the devil is a liar. And God is in control.”

Preaching on the topic, ‘The Prison Of Pornography’, Banky W appreciated his wife, Adesua, for supporting him during his struggle with porn addiction.

“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman [pointing at Adesua],” he said.
