Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was invited for questioning by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday night.
The agency's Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, confirmed in a statement that Bawa arrived a few hours ago.
It noted that “the invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him”.
President Bola Tinubu suspended Bawa earlier today due to serious allegations of office misconduct. Bawa was instructed to promptly transfer his office responsibilities to the Director of Operations within the Commission.
The Director will manage the Chairman's office until the investigation is completed.
