Another Banger: Wizkid breaks record as first African artiste to headline UK’s biggest festival, Glastonbury [Video]

Afrobeats has truly opened Nigeria to the world as it stands now. Artistes like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Rema, and a host of others are doing great in the name of the genre at home and abroad.

Just Friday night here, Grammy award-winning Nigerian music star, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid made history as the first African musician to headline the United Kingdom, UK’s biggest music festival, Glastonbury.

Wizzy headlined the “Other Side Stage” of the festival, which was held in Somerset, England. The festival had over 210,000 attendees.

Wizkid performed a medley of his hit songs; ‘Essence’, ‘One Dance’, ‘Ojuelegba’, ‘Soco’, ‘True Love’, etc.

Our source recalls that Burna Boy also performed at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival last year but not as a headliner.
