Japa: Seun Kuti jets out of Nigeria for Euro Tour

Like a bird out of the cage was the situation of Grammy-nominated afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti who is currently out of the country less than 48 hours after his release from prison.

Nollywood Times reported that he was granted bail on Tuesday after spending eight days in detention due to assault charges on a police officer.

Kuti was in court on Wednesday, for his trial at the Chief Magistrate Court Yaba in Lagos but the proceedings were adjourned July 3, 2023, due to the magistrate’s absence.

On Thursday, the singer announced via his Instastory that he was on his way to Switzerland for the commencement of his Europe tour.

Sharing a picture of himself in a plane, he wrote, “Euro tour kicks off tonight in Zurich.”
