Davido opens up on the fragile relationship with Burna Boy

Back in 2020, the relationship between Davido and Burna Boy went sour and resulted in a series of disagreements between the two. The duo reportedly clashed and exchanged blows in a Ghanaian club.

However, Davido, has opened up on the fragile relationship with his colleague, Burna Boy. He said they were on good terms but they “don’t really talk” to each other.

Davido recently featured on Ebro in the Morning Show on Hot 97FM, New York, USA.

Speaking on unity among Afrobeats artists, the Omo Baba Olowo crooner said, “Afrobeats [artists] we are in unity. I spoke to Burna [Boy]. He called me. He calls me as well but we’ve not really spoken like that.

Asked whether he plans to resolve his issues with Burna Boy, Davido said, “I think I definitely would. He [Burna Boy] called me. Wiz [Kid] called me. And funny enough, me and Burna used to be mad close. Very very close.”

Speaking of the incident on the 2020 incident between the duo, Davido said, “Funny enough, it wasn’t even us. It was our people [team]. It was crazy because it didn’t even involve us.”
