AMVCA nomination: Actor Kunle Remi reacts after being snubbbed

It is no longer news that the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA, 2023 nomination list is out. However, the news is that Anikulapo star, Kunle Remi was snubbed from the nomination despite the fact that the movie itself got 16 nominations. The actor has therefore reacted to the development.

Kunle Remi the lead actor in the movie Anikulapo which received 16 nominations, coming out as the highest for this year’s entries. It was shocking that Remi was missing from the nomination list.

However, Kunle's absence has sparked outrage on social media with many movie fans claiming that he was deliberately neglected.

Reacting via his Instagram page, Remi said if he were nominated, he would have won the categories some of his friends were nominated for.

He appreciated his fans for their concerns.

He wrote: “I have been seeing all the tags after the AMVCA nomination announcement. It would be nonchalant not to appreciate the love, calls and messages. Thank you kindred.

“First of all, congratulations to all my friends/colleagues. This year won’t be great without y’all’s amazing work and effort. God save una, cos if I Dey the categories I for win.”
