Nigeria vs. Guinea-Bissau: Ahmed Musa sends caution to Super Eagles

As Super Eagles set to clash with Guinea-Bissau on Friday evening in an AFCON qualifier at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, the team’s captain has sent warnings to his teammate.

Ahmed Musa, the Super Eagles captain, has sounded a note of warning to his teammates about Guinea-Bissau. Ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying fixture Musa said the visiting side is a difficult opponent.

Jose Peseiro’s side will face the Djurtus in the reverse fixture three days later at the Estádio 24 de Setembro.

The Super Eagles are drawn in Group A against Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, and Sao Tome and Principe.

Speaking to the press on Thursday in Abuja, Musa said, “We all know the importance of the game, and we are not taking things easy. We played Guinea-Bissau at the AFCON, and it was tough against them.

“They are a difficult opponent. We are playing at home, in front of our fans, we are going for victory so that we can have one more step to the AFCON.”
