On Saturday, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos warned opposition voters from a certain fraction of the country to remain in their houses.
Number about two dozen, the men walked around Agbo-Oba and other streets in the Oshodi area, threatening residents.
"If you don't want to vote for APC, stay in your house," they repeated, while discussing loudly.
The comment was similar to that made by Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, at a gathering on Thursday.
On Friday, the Chairman of Lags State Parks and Garages Management Committee recanted, saying it was a joke aimed at one Mama Chukwudi.
APC thugs came out and were seen roaming the streets, threatening people who they suspected would not vote for APC, saying 'If you don't want to vote for APC, stay in your house.' the police always dismiss it as a joke.
