Election 2023: Youths now understand that their voices are powerful — Seyi Awolowo

The election 2023 will go down in history as one with the highest youth participation and the reason for that has been given by an actor and former Big Brother Naija contestant, Seyi Awolowo.

The young talent praised young Nigerians for coming out in their numbers to vote during the recently held Presidential election.

Awolowo spoke with our source today, “The youths participated in the elections in large numbers. They were really out there, unlike what obtained in the past. They were so involved in the exercise because of the state of the country. Before now, many people had the notion that votes don’t count in this country. But, the youths have now realised that they do have a voice, and they can be heard.”

When asked how easy it was for him to transition into being an actor, here is what he said, “Before reality TV, I had been acting and modelling. So, there was not really much of a transition. I just went into the BBN house to be myself, and came back hoping that I had sold myself enough to be considered for more acting roles in much more significant movies. I did not really overcome anything; it was already there. I am grateful for that.”

Recalling his most memorable acting experience, Awolowo said, “That would be the movie, Brotherhood, because it was my first major action film. The experience was fantastic. I got to act alongside many incredible actors, such as Zubby Michaels, Basketmouth, Toni Tones, Tobi Bakre, Falz, Diane Russet, Dorathy Bachor, and Jidekene Achufusi. I am definitely looking forward to a whole lot more that I can do on screen.”
