Aisha Buhari backed El-Rufai’s bombshell on ‘Villa cabal working against Tinubu’

The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, seems to support the claim of Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State that some elements in Nigeria’s Presidential Villa are working against Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The first lady shared El-Rufai’s video clip on her verified Instagram page; however, she did not add any comment to the post. The singular act is understood as throwing her weight behind the governor’s claim.

On Wednesday El-Rufai featured on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme, during which he declared that some persons within the presidency who preferred another candidate as the APC presidential candidate are working against him (Tinubu).

El-Rufai also disclosed that individual elements hide behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s desire to do what he thinks is right.

He said: ”I believe there are elements in the Villa that want us to lose the election because they didn’t get their way; they had their candidate. Their candidate did not win the primaries.

“They are trying to get us to lose the election, and they are hiding behind the president’s desire to do what he thinks is right.”

Aisha’s action might not come to many as a surprise, as she had in the past said that President Buhari’s administration would have done better if not for two powerful persons.
