N-Power funds: D’banj finally released by ICPC

Earlier today, the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) released singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj. Nollywood Times reported that D’banj was arrested and detained for the alleged diversion of N-Power funds.

He was said to have been arrested on Wednesday for conniving with some politicians and banks to divert the fund. Information from our source shows that he was released three days after his detention in the commission’s custody as the investigation continues.

D’banj was released on the grounds that he may be summoned later for further investigations.

D’banj’s lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, had earlier issued a statement demanding his release, calling on the National Assembly to intervene in the matter by probing the allegations levelled against him.
