Actress Moyo Lawal has weighed into the crisis currently rocking our beloved Nollywood actress Empress Njamah. Moyo recounted when she met Empress Njamah’s Liberian ‘fiancé.’
Recall that Nollywood Times reported that the actress said someone hacked her phone and that she is no longer engaged. Empress said she was being blackmailed by her fiancé, who pretended to love her but threatened and physically abused her.
In another video, Empress Njamah’s estranged fiance, Josh Wade, threatened her in a viral video saying he knows her day-to-day activities, adding that she doesn’t know “what’s coming” for her.
“You actually don’t know what’s coming. Trust me, I swear to God you don’t know what’s coming. Everything that I said to you, I think you consider it to be a joke,” he said.
“But trust me it’s not a joke. I know your day-to-day activities. I know everything you do on a daily basis. Your office in Akira, your office in this, your office in that. Everything. I know absolutely everything. Thank you.”
Empress said of Josh Wade that he came into her life and promised to stand by her. She said this was after the death of Ada Ameh, her friend, had left her broken and vulnerable for months.
Njamah said Wade became abusive after he got naked footage of her and had taken all her valuables, including her international passport. Empress said it was Wade who posted the engagement video on her Instagram page. According to her, she was not in control of the account.
Meanwhile, Josh Wade has denied blackmailing Empress for money. According to him, he only slapped Empress after the latter denied her sexual relationship with a man who he claimed threatened to leak her sex videos.
However, reacting to Njamah’s Instagram post on Saturday, Moyo Lawal posted on throwback photo from the day she met Empress’ ex-lover.
Moyo said she met Empress and the man on October 17, 2022, adding that looks can be deceptive.
She wrote: “Please stay strong, this too shall soon pass, without taking the beautiful parts of your soul. …. PS I can’t believe, I actually met him with you on this day in October. Looks really be deceptive. Please stay strong.”
