Bolanle Raheem’s death: Mr. Macaroni blasts Sanwo-Olu over the increase in extrajudicial killings in his tenure

Reactions have trailed the gruesome murder of the slain Lagos lawyer, Bolanle Raheem. Adding his voice to the call, Nigerian social activist and skit maker, Debo Adebayo, AKA Mr Macaroni, lamented the level of extrajudicial killing and insecurity in Lagos State. He added that the level has increased under the watch of Babajide Sanwo-Olu since becoming the Governor of the state.

Nollywood Times had reported that the lawyer Omobolanle Raheem, was shot dead by a police Assistant Superintendent (ASP) on Sunday. The incident occurred near the Ajah bridge on Christmas Day as the deceased returned from church. She was reportedly shot while she sat in the car, and her husband was beside her.

Reacting, Macaroni wrote on Twitter, “Dear Governor BabaJide Sanwo-Olu, The level of insecurity, oppression, brutality and extrajudicial killings since you became Governor has worsened.

“You don’t control the police? Ok. But you are the Chief Security Officer of the state. What are you doing about it.”
