Thousands of people gathered on Friday to pay their last respect to the longest-serving monarch in the British dynasty, late Queen Elizabeth II. The former England International footballer David Beckham was among the crowd queuing in London to see the Queen’s coffin.
The massive crowd waiting to see the Queen lying in the state became a long queue that stretched nearly four miles beyond Tower Bridge.
While waiting for their turn, other mourners passed the time by taking photos with the British celebrity, David Beckham.
The Ex-England forward said he had turned up to queue in the early hours to avoid the main rush, but his plan was thwarted, and he had to wait in line with the crowd of mourners.
“I thought if I came at 2 am, it would be a bit quieter.”
Beckham was among several sports stars from Britain and around the world who paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth after her death at 96 last week.
