Late filmmaker Biyi Bandele, who died on August 7, 2022, was buried in Lagos on Friday, September 23, 2022.
It was a low-key burial ceremony attended by the late filmmaker’s family and close associates.
Veteran cinematographer Tunde Kelani posted pictures on social media from the solemn ceremony with the caption, “Biyi Bandele goes home. The writer, poet, screenwriter, director, and photographer was buried today in Lagos after a brief ceremony. May his soul rest in peace.”
Bandele was the director of ‘Half of a Yellow Sun,’ ‘Fifty,’ ‘Blood Sisters’ and ‘Elesin Oba, The King’s Horseman.’
