Nollywood actresses Fausat Balogun and Fali Werepe traded words at Yinka Quadri’s recent surprise birthday party and almost became physical. Fali Werepe angered Madam Saje when she countered her at the star-studded party.
Yinka Quadri turned 63 on September 6, and to mark his new age, Nollywood actors, producers, filmmakers, marketers, and more came out in large numbers to show their love for him.
A video surfaced online recently from the event showing Fausat Balogun throwing jibes at a colleague, Fali Werepe.
Fausat or Madam Saje gave a short speech about the celebrant. She stated that she has been in the industry with Yinka for over 50 years.
However, the speech didn’t sit well with Fali Werepe, as she interrupted Mama Saje’s speech with an exclamation.
The exclamation from Fali Werepe hit Fausat Balogun’s wrong chord as she went on to slam her. She claimed that she had been in the industry before Fali.
She said, “Fali, I senior you in this profession – let’s say it in public, I don’t talk too much, I am your Oga.”
In response, Fali Werepe said she has no issues with the actress and that she only called her attention to her exaggeration.
“When she said she has been with Yinka for over 50 years, I shouted ahhhhh, and I am not the only one who shouted ahhhh. People know when we started filming, but we haven’t been in the industry for 50 years.
Me and Abeni are friends, and we can’t fight, but we haven’t been in the industry for 50 years”.
