On Monday, El-Rufai, Kaduna State governor, mocked the planned ‘two million man’ march for Peter Obi of the Labour Party in the state.
Some supporters of Peter Obi on Twitter have been trending a march to solicit votes for the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election.
However, El-Rufai wondered where the two million people to march for Peter Obi in Kaduna State would come from.
He tweeted in response, “In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter?”
“I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays and came on overnight bus last night. I jus’ dey laff, wallahi tallahi!”

Many comments on the Tweet said the Labour Party candidate lacks the popularity in the northern state to attract such support. In contrast, others are optimistic that his popularity is growing in the region.
Though INEC is yet to declare the commencement of campaigns for the forthcoming election officially, different groups have started mobilising support for their candidates.
Many favoured Tinubu and Atiku over Obi in the presidential election based on their political reach and parties’ followership. Yet, with the frenzy of support for Obi, it has rendered the election a three-horse race.
However, the Labour Party Candidate, Peter Obi, has said he was sure of defeating the two political juggernauts to succeed Buhari.
Mr. Obi said at the Labour Party Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO) Summit at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, last Thursday, “Therefore, my decision to join the Labour Party was not by coincidence or happenstance; it was indeed a thought-through decision given the ideological convergence.
“The current structures of both the PDP and the APC are the stomach infrastructure that has brought us nothing but misery.”
