Roll Call: Here are the 52 broadcast stations shutdown by NBC

Following the news by Nollywood Times earlier that the National Broadcasting Commission directed some broadcasting houses, including the African Independent Television, and Silverbird Television, to shut down their operations, the list of the 52 broadcast outfits has been released.

NBC said the closure was because the broadcasting firms incurred at least N2.6bn debts.

The Director-General of the NBC, Balarabe Ilelah, made this disclosure at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja. He said all the 52 television and radio stations must stop operations within 24 hours.
