Peter Obi’s running mate gave reasons he accepted the vice-presidential candidacy

According to Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the running mate of Peter Obi, accepting to run as Obi’s running mate is based on Peter Obi’s desires to change Nigeria.

When he was announced as the running mate of Obi, he said that his immediate task was to accept this nomination and added that Nigeria was in a bad state and wanted to be part of the team on a rescue mission to save the country.

He gave his first reason when he said, “The undeniable, unchallengeable fundamental reason for being on this ticket is to rescue Nigeria, and it goes without saying that you can only rescue that which is in trouble; Nigeria is likened to that.”

His second reason was that he firmly believed that Nigeria would be great again and the country would once more enjoy peace and prosperity.

Baba-Ahmed affirmed that he would utilize his educational background and experience to change Nigeria. He added that the North has crude oil, which is the region’s fertile land, and said the Nigeria of tomorrow would be great.

He, who was motivated by success in the private sector and fought and became a governor for eight years and since then has maintained integrity and honour, is one that will not fail in campaign promises.
