King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal crowned the first Mayegun Of Yoruba land

Legendary Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal has been installed as the first Mayegun of Yoruba land.

Looking at the kind of cultural impact Kwam 1 and his fuji genre music have had on Yoruba land as a whole, it is safe to say he deserves the unprecedented title.

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi as part of his 49th coronation anniversary, installed Wasiu Ayinde, as Mayegun of Yorubaland.

Present at the event were, APC leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, as well as his Interior counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola, Lagos NURTW Chairman, Misiliu Akinsanya aka MC and many other important guests.See the video of the ceremony below;
