Bishop calls out Funke Akindele and siblings for boycotting their father’s burial

According to reports, Funke Akindele and her siblings did not attend their father’s burial.

According to online reports, this annoyed the Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev Samson Osundina, who expressed his disappointment that the actress and her siblings did not attend their father’s funeral.

Funke’s father, Revd. Godwin Olusoji Akindele, died on Saturday, December 7, 2019, after a brief illness, aged 73.
Delivering the burial sermon, Rev. Osundina thanked the children for taking care of their father when he was ill but stressed the fact that them paying him the last respect as children were very important and significant.

He then suspended the usual outing and thanksgiving service which are final programes in Christian’s burial, till the deceased’s children are available to attend
