Ndoma-Egba former Senate leader may vacate the Senate

Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, former Senate leader,  may vacate the Senate following a Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar ruling against him and uphelding the election victory of Sen Sandi Onor, Hon. Mick Etaba and Hon Chirs Agibe.

Three Judges; Hon Justice T. Abubakar, Hon Justice P. O. Elechi and Hon Justice A. A. Wambai, while delivering judgment late on Saturday evening, unanimously upheld the decision of the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal that sat in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Ripples Nigeria reports.

It could be recalled that one Dr Sandy Onor had earlier been upheld as the winner of the election by the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.

The appeal by Ndoma-Egba sat over by three man appeal panel of the tribunal had delivered judgment on September 4th, 2019, and held that the appeal lacked merit.

The court had upheld the election victory of Mr Mike Etaba representing Obubra Etung Federal Constituency (PDP) against Mr Egbe Jabengo, candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
