Kogi State is witnessing a rein of fear and anarchy at the moment. Sporadic gunshots could be heard ringing out from major towns in the state, forcing peace-loving citizens to continue to live in fear and anguish. There is terror in land, walking on all fours.

In Monday afternoon, political thugs were said to have gone on the rampage, killing a middle-aged PDP women leader who was said to have been locked up in her house and burnt to ashes.

This was a sequel to the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Yahaya Bello had been re-elected for the second term even as the thugs trooped out to celebrate the victory.........READ MORE>>>

Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan may be suspended from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over his alleged romance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) which contributed to the defeat of his party in last Saturday’s governorship election in his home state of Bayelsa.

APC’s candidate David Lyon polled 352,552 votes to defeat PDP’s Senator Douye Diri who scored 143,172.

Mr Pariya passed on, Tuesday morning in Dubai after a brief illness.

A family source who confirmed the death said the deceased had been on life support for about two weeks ago.

Border Closure: Nigeria suffers highest inflation rate since May 2018

The closure of some of the Nigerian borders has led to the increase in food prices and subsequently pushed up annual inflation in the country.

The National Bureau of Statistics monthly report released on Monday showed that annual inflation was 11.61% in October, up from 11.24% in September, indicating the highest rate since May 2018.
