Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, said they visited former President Goodluck Jonathan  after Saturday’s governorship elections in recognition of his position as the father and leader of the state.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, led APC leaders including governor-elect David Lyon, to visit the former president’s home on Monday.

Sylva noted that as a former president and leader of the State, Jonathan deserved to be respected and honoured by all  Bayelsa people, irrespective of their political affiliations.......READ MORE>>>

Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria's former President and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, have been pictured celebrating with the Jigawa State Governor Mohammed Badaru, who is also the Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Campaign Organisation and Senator Ita Enang over the victory of David Lyon.

Jonathan’s kinsmen in Kolo, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State also trooped out on Saturday celebrating the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 9.

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has congratulated Bayelsa State Governor-elect, David Lyon, describing his victory as well deserved.

Frank also called on the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, to resign from office over the defeat the party suffered in the state for the first time since 1999.

Appeal court confirms Ishaku the winner of Taraba governorship election

An appeal court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, on Monday, November 18, confirmed Darius Ishaku of Taraba as the validly elected governor of the state in the 2019 general election.
